“The drivers earn their money on the road – but I still want them trained to the best of their ability.”
Drivers come back from their tours at different times of the day, often in the middle of the night. We have been looking for a solution that minimises our burden on time and human resources. The solution must be legally compliant and meet all of the employer’s liability insurance association’s requirements. In addition, it must be simple, even intuitive to use – otherwise our employees won’t accept it.”
How the impossible became possible?
“Since the year 2000, our company has had a certified safety, health and environmental protection and quality management system.”
In order to meet the requirements of the systems mentioned above and for the safe and conscientious performance of orders by the employees, instructions on load securing, driving times, OBU operation, equipment operator training and many other training measures must be carried out.
What role does eplas play?
“In order to obtain legal certainty, a very high number of individual training sessions by superiors were necessary.”
“We were looking for a solution that would allow us to make better use of our time resources whilst simultaneously improving the training quality. The system must be simple to set up and easy to operate, even for employees who are scarcely familiar or even completely unfamiliar with computer work.”
How did you manage the problem?
“The planning and follow-up of the training alone cost us hours every week.”
